During peak travel periods such as the Spring Festival travel rush, summer holiday, and national holidays, public security management and emergency command tasks at the station are exceptionally demanding. The Guangzhou South Railway Station Public Security Bureau Command Center Office Building Project serves as the core supporting facility for station area security management, undertaking critical functions including public security surveillance, traffic dispatch, emergency response, and joint command operations, making it the "smart brain" that ensures the safe and orderly operation of Guangzhou South Railway Station.

With a total construction area of tens of thousands of square meters, the project includes a command hall, information data center, duty and standby rooms, and general office areas, equipped with advanced video surveillance systems, emergency communication systems, and intelligent management platforms. Upon completion, the building will enable comprehensive visual control of the entire station area and multi-department coordinated command, significantly enhancing counter-terrorism and emergency incident response capabilities.

In terms of electromechanical engineering, the command center building involves multiple specialized systems including fire protection, ventilation and smoke exhaust, water supply and drainage, power supply, and precision air conditioning. As a core facility dedicated to public safety, the reliability of its electromechanical systems under extreme conditions such as earthquakes is critical. The project has fully implemented an electromechanical seismic bracing system, with seismic supports installed on fire protection pipelines, smoke exhaust ducts, communication rooms, and data centers in strict compliance with GB 50981-2014, the Code for Seismic Design of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in Buildings. The core function of this system is to scientifically transfer seismic horizontal forces to the main building structure, ensuring that communication, surveillance, and command systems remain operational after an earthquake, buying crucial time for emergency rescue efforts. The seismic bracing system has become an indispensable safety lifeline for this pivotal public security command building at the railway hub.
